Flowers are an essential part of all Tamil celebrations as they are used as decoration for the home and entryway, during religious rituals, and for making into garlands to be worn as an accessory. The fragrant jasmine flower is particularly notable for being made into garlands to be worn on the hair while rose and marigolds are used to make garlands to be exchanged by the bride and groom as part of wedding rituals. Floral water, specifically paneer or rose water is sprinkled on guests. Our scent Kondattam, translating to celebration, is a custom blend of jasmine and rose; two flowers central to Tamil celebrations.
