Candle Care
First Burn
The first burn greatly influences the life and performance of your candle. Typically, candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size. For example, a candle that is 2 inches across should burn for 2 hours per burn session. If a candle is not burned for long enough to allow the wax to melt to the rim of the container, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has formed a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle. To avoid wasting your candle, let your candle burn until the wax melts to the rim each and every time.
Wick Care
To ensure a strong flame and clean burn remember to trim your wick to one-eighth of an inch before your first burn and every subsequent burn. Keep in mind to light the wick from its base. We recommend holding your candle at a 45 degree angle to best reach the base of the wood wick. When done correctly, you will have a consistent burn as well as crackling and flickering thanks to the wood wick.
Storage
Store candles in a dark and dry place with the lid on to keep them clean from dust and debris, protect the wax, and help the fragrance last. Don't forget to let the wax cool and harden first before covering your candle with its lid.
Do not leave candles unattended.
Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours at a time.
